About ME

Welcome to Rene' Creates, a quilting blog.  I made my first quilt in 2004, but really became obsessed in 2009 when I discovered quilt blogs and the online community.  I started the Orlando Modern Quilt Guild in 2010 and remain on the Board after serving two years as President. I was delighted to find myself in the middle of this movement and a welcoming community of like-minded creatives. Along the way I have enjoyed retreating with quilt friends and traveling to attend workshops and QuiltCon. One of my favorite activities is getting together with my crafty friends. In September 2019, I opened the doors to my new heartfelt creation, The Craft Table, as a way to share my inspiration and joy with others! If you are ever in the Orlando area, please stop by.
