What's Up Wednesday: More Projects
When I arrived home, my design wall was empty for a change. (Have you noticed the list of WIPs on my sidebar has gotten smaller?) The 22 blocks I made at retreat are now up on the wall.

On the design wall |
Since returning home (and while recovering from jet lag and four different time zones), I have noted some great blocks, QALs and tutorials found online that I want to try.
I printed the instructions and selected fabric for these projects....that's a start, right?

Michele's vintage butterfly block |
My buddy Michele and her butterfly quilts were just featured over at Quilt Inspiration. They drafted a pattern based on Michele's antique quilt, and shared it here. For these blocks, I am using some beautiful Amy Butler and Kaffe fabrics I've been hoarding, and think it will be fun to also use selvages I have been collecting for the center strip.
Crazy Mom Quilts ragged squares tutorial |
Amanda and Margaret's Hope Chest are collecting ragged squares blocks for a work party to assemble quilts for Project Hope. I should have completed these blocks before the retreat, but I didn't. Good for me, the deadline has been extended to July 31st....I better get busy.

I need to learn how to crochet! |
I pulled this Crochet! book out the other day. Learning to crochet (as I don't think I can ever knit) has been on my list of to dos, and now I think is the time to finally figure it out. Amanda, Cindy and Mary were crocheting at the retreat, and there is this cool fusion blanket crochet along going on right now. That's a sign, right?
