A Drawstring Bag
Going through pictures (and past blog posts), I noticed that I did not show the drawstring bag I recently made. I used this tutorial which was so great I would like to make a bunch more.
The outer fabric is an older Anna Maria Horner I found in my stash. It’s a bit heavier than quilting cotton which gives the bag extra structure.
The drawstring is from a spool of craft ribbon found in a drawer.
The original reason for making the bag was to feature this little EPP block. I have been making these blocks using 1” hexes but wanted to try the 1/2” size. This little block is the result of that experiment.
I love this smaller size. I can see myself making a bunch of pincushions with these blocks. I even went tinier but found it quite fiddly. You may remember that I stitched that teeny tiny flower on the back of my jeans.
How small have you gone with piecing? Thanks and happy stitching,
