Goodbye 2018!

Am I the only one wondering how this is the last day of 2018?!

I am not one to recap the year with highlights of crafty finishes or spell out new year goals; it stresses me out. I did sit down and write a general list, though, of what I made and did (maker wise) throughout the year. While the quilt finishes were small in number, I did manage to create most days - mainly through English paper piecing. I completed one EPP quilt, added to another EPP project, and began two new ones. Other than the all solids one, they are all Happy Flower Block quilts.

The biggest change for me (again, maker wise) in 2018 was the reopening of my Etsy shop adding Lego sewing machines and enamel pins. I began designing enamel pins in February and created eight different pin designs in 2018.

Retreating and taking classes was a large part of 2018 as well. In addition to my annual Gruber’s retreat, I attended Squam Art Camps, an EQ8 course, a teacher certification workshop with Laura Heine, the Ultimate Handmade Getaway at Makers Luck, and our guild retreat. That doesn’t even include guild workshops.

Hmmm…..not what I would consider my year of color….

How about you?! Do you make a list of the year’s accomplishments? What was your favorite creative aspect to 2018? I hope the year was a good one for you, and I wish you all the best in 2019!

Happy stitching,
