Weekend Stitching
Do you like to spend time over the weekend creating? Weekends are family time for sure, but I also like to squeeze in some sewing time. I sewed (virtually) with others during #SaturdayNightCraftAlong and made progress on my Carolyn Friedlander EPP blocks. I like that I can thread baste hexies while still watching TV with my family. That's not to say that I don't also like to sneak away to my sewing room, but when my family seems to want my company it's nice to have a creative activity on hand ;-))
Another virtual sew along started yesterday, and I joined Miss Leela Handmade and her #SundayScrapalong2018 on Instagram. I started a new EPP project using scraps from my Mad for Solids 2017 bundle from PaintBrush Studios Fabric . I am pleasantly surprised at how smooth these fabrics are for English paper piecing. The octagon shapes are fun to thread baste and seem to pile up quickly. I haven't decided on a final layout for these octagons and squares, but I am liking the progress so far.
So, what did you create this weekend? Thanks for stopping by!
Happy stitching,
